It looked like an indie wedding, or a page out of a Pottery Barn catalogue — but it was a marijuana-pairing dinner. The Headquarters cannabis boutique team and Blackbelly Market's Hosea Rosenberg hosted a winter dinner event last weekend at which marijuana normalization reached a new high, at a sold-out (by private invite) event at the farm-chic Shupe Homestead in Longmont.
Many people have either attended one themselves or have heard about dinner party events in which guests are served a delicious multi-course meal, paired with a variety of wine selections or cocktail choices that appropriately coordinate with each specific dish. Due to the steady progression and overall public interest and curiosity of the cannabis industry, weed has also now found its place at the dining room table.
The cannabis culture is so multi-dimensional, offering not only a wide range of different indica and sativa strains, but many strains with unique flavors and distinctive tastes– it would be next to impossible for one to sample all of the many kinds in one night. On the evening of Thursday, September 10 however, a renown chef in Colorado will be co-hosting a 420-friendly dinner party, the first ever of its kind, that will be pairing plates throughout a four-course meal with not only cocktails, but complimenting side samples of cannabis too.
Mason Jar Event Group, the bright minds behind September's cannabis-infused farm to table harvest dinner prepared by Top Chef winner Hosea Rosenberg and his Blackbelly Market team, are back with another canna-centric event, only this time, it's less about the "yum" and more about the "om." They're producing a special event today, November 8th in Longmont, Colorado, called "Yoga with a View," a cannabis-friendly yoga retreat designed to clear your mind and inspire your soul.
Straight out of a pottery barn catalog, the Headquarters Harvest Dinner went off without a hitch last night in Lyons, Colorado. From the brilliant minds of Hosea Rosenberg of Blackbelly Market and Top Chef fame, Ashley Rheingold of Headquarters Cannabis Company, and Kendal Norris of Mason Jar Productions, this dinner was a culinary cannabis fairy tale, matching food, drinks and joints for a multi-course meal.
“Your other left,” pronounced yoga instructor Larissa Ortiz, and there was most giggling and a sounds of people switching legs. When Ortiz followed adult with a criticism on a fundamental problems in being befuddled and doing yoga, a whole category burst up.
It was a light impulse in a midst of an differently surprisingly focused hour-and-a-half imagining and yoga event Sunday in a expansive, light-filled stable during Lone Hawk Farm in Longmont, a site for a second in a array of cannabis-friendly events — this one was called Yoga With a View — hosted by Mason Jar Event Group, Headquarters Blackbelly Market chef/owner and Top Chef champ Hosea Rosenberg.
